Now scheduling Fall 2008 sessions - Office closed notice

Today’s forecast high 76 - 76?!! The extended 10 day forecast here in the Washington DC area looks awesome. For those who have sessions the remainder of this week, how lucky did you get with the weather? Score.

With the hint of the pleasant temperatures just a reminder, September is around the corner. Susan Braswell Photography now has the remaining 2008 calendar open for Fall/Late Fall sessions. Please contact the office to make your appointment.

Please note the office will be closed from Saturday, August 16th through Sunday, August 24th. All calls and emails will be returned accordingly upon my return. 

I have been busy with sessions and have not been able to blog each and every one, I apologize in advance. I will however set up automatic posting with some sneak peeks of while I am on vacation. 

How about an outtake - that I might just include in the gallery. A little scream goes a long way LOL. Believe it or not, before and after this shot some super stuff was captured. Dad gets brownie points for sure, this entire session was a surprise for his wife - a 10th anniversary gift. Mom got to stay home and pamper herself while dad did it all. As a wife and mother myself, I’d be mush if my husband did something like this.

A little humor - ordering reprints or enlargements.

Clients: Any remaining sessions from 2006 through Spring of 2007 will be in the process the next few weeks of being purged. If you would like to order any reprints or you’ve now have had time to look over your portrait order and have decided which one would make a phenominal wall portrait or wall series please contact the studio immediately.  When choosing your wall portraits please always take print size (smallest recommended size 16×20), matting and actual frame size into account. I am often told that a 16×20 sounds so big when in fact depending on the room and ceiling height it makes very little impact. Finding a good framer and building a solid relationship with them is important. Soon to be released wall portrait gallery recommendations customized to each individual session.

 

Hours for the studio are by appointment only. The studio is located at 705 King Street, 2nd floor in the heart of historic Old Town Alexandria. Because sessions are primarily on location and now that Spring and warmer weather is (trying) approaching appointments are very limited so plan accordingly.

Occasionally one of you, my valued clients, ask me to do a wedding or special event. Please know, I am really flattered by your interest in my work! But since I specialize in babies, children and their families, I am unable to accept these opportunities. Christmas in July? No, but can you believe it’s time to start planning ahead for the holiday season? In order to be sure you get your holiday portraits and cards in plenty of time for the holidays, your session date needs to take place on or before Saturday, November 4. And all orders need to be received and paid in full prior to Wednesday, November 22. Be sure to book your session well in advance – my calendar is already filling up fast.
