I had the privilege of photographing this adoring sweet 12 month olds sister, 3 years ago. It was like deja vu, she is a true spitting image of her older sister. I wanted to extend my happiest birthday wishes for this upcoming Thursday as she turns the big “1″. It was a true pleasure to not only have a returning client but a very warm and receptive visit as well. Next time, I hope to see them both together ;)  As always, I tend to lean towards blogging more black and white portraits as they convey the raw emotion at that given moment, timeless. (Plus I know mom favors them as well) …

Oh Miss R - you just tickle me and so smart too. Thank *you* for the special ice cream candy and box of Strawberry treats. My family, especially my oldest truly enjoyed them. How thoughtful..

I also enjoyed meeting the grandparents visiting from Houston. It’s nice to have fans as far away as Texas. I have quite a few favorites - but just one for now. Each and every year I always look forward to our session - hopefully many more to come.

Live.. all the way from New York City - Washington DC baby photographer

I’d say I feel truly honored my client traveled here from New York City (to see family) and book a session with me. She said, “I love your black and whites ..” {thank you}

The little lady also was sporting some beautiful silver Dolce and Gabanna silver slippers at the end of the session but by then she was tuckered. I would love to know mom, what did her bracelet say in Arabic?

Keeping this brief as I have not been feeling well all week and trying to stay afloat.

 While Jake Tapper, ABC News’ Senior National Correspondent has been busy with travel covering national stories and could not be here to join in, I had the pleasure of conducting a session with his lovely wife Jennifer and their beautiful daughter. I got the cutest inquiry regarding a “mommy and me” session and it was quite witty - read it with a smile. 

Just a small sneak peek, you have not seen anything yet! Black and white because momma said so .. ;) I may sneak in a color or two preview as well..

Sunkissed *beautiful* expectant mother - Alexandria Virginia Maternity Photographer

Baby#4, can you believe it? What a wonderful couple they were indeed to work with. Mom, you are right (I had to google it) - he DOES strongly resemble the new James Bond, actor Daniel Craig.
