All you want to do is ride around Sally ..

This post has absolutely nothing to do with photography - however I’d thought I’d share a great song/video I am listening to as I continue to pace myself feverishly the next 3 days to put a dent in my work. I sincerely apologize as I had every intention of jumping back on the horse to share sneak peeks of client sessions but the images are sized differently than my gallery and just have not had the chance to compile my thoughts and images from the weeks past. I may do a whole series posting palooza at some point and hope to get back on track.

Admit it, this song will either make you do a little chair boogie or even get up and dance. Enjoy!!

Fall schedule open, 1 date left for October only. Northern Virginia Children’s Photographer

Please note there is only 1 date at the end of October left to reserve. You may book your late fall/Holiday portraits for November and December now. Please note, after tomorrow’s newborn session I will be spending the next few days working hard to edit, place orders and return emails accordingly. It looks like we now have the nice crisp fall weather upon us. If you have an upcoming session in the next few weeks, please plan the wardrobe with some possible light layers as it is brisk in the morning. Fall is my favorite time of year here in the Washington DC area.  

One last thing, I am running behind on blog posting from recent sessions. While I do not blog every session, I strive to do my best. I have a few I promise to get online this week from recent weeks. I have been told on many occasions I get to photograph the most beautiful families .. I couldn’t agree more.

Spectacular scenery - The Excellence Resort in Riviera Maya, Cancun

Just returning from an anniversary week vacation, one more day would have been perfect, I did not want to leave. From my seat on the plane today and sunrise and sunset in Riviera Maya, Cancun. My husband and I celebrated our 19th year wedding anniversary this past week and took some time for ourselves. 

*breathtaking* - we agreed the best vacation (including our honeymoon) we have EVER been on.

and this song will always remind me of the trip. There was a band who performed on 2 separate nights who played really good cover music. This was one of the songs which was so soothing on a warm night in the courtyard.

 While Jake Tapper, ABC News’ Senior National Correspondent has been busy with travel covering national stories and could not be here to join in, I had the pleasure of conducting a session with his lovely wife Jennifer and their beautiful daughter. I got the cutest inquiry regarding a “mommy and me” session and it was quite witty - read it with a smile. 

Just a small sneak peek, you have not seen anything yet! Black and white because momma said so .. ;) I may sneak in a color or two preview as well..

OILILY!! My repertoire consists of my camera bag and bags that hold all of my album samples and whatnot I bring to my ordering appointments. I’d bet money I am one of the most colorful photographers walking into a clients home. :)

On a side note, get on Oilily’s mailing list and receive notification when they have sales. I love to hit the store up when they have their 70% off clearance sale. What is nice is you can call stores as far away as West Palm Beach or Denver and they will ship to you.
